There is nothing sweeter than a great review, and we writers live for the day when Library Journal, Publisher’s Weekly, or a good newspaper will pick up our book and give it a read and wee testimonial. Just like winning a writing award, it validates that someone found your work engaging and saw fit to write about it.However, I’m pretty sure that had someone said this about my writing, I’d be just as happy to avoid reviews altogether and run away to a desert island. Of course, given this guy’s advance, he could afford to do just that.
