Obama and Joe are right

Joe Biden and Barak Obama have been telling me for two years that we need to be afraid.

That was before he told me it’s my patriotic duty to pay taxes:

“It’s time to be patriotic…time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”

Does Joe not know that the “rich” don’t pay taxes, but rather they pass those increases on to the consumer that will result in higher retail prices and layoffs?

Obama tells Joe the Plumber that it’s not his intention to punish the wealthy, but that it’s important to spread it around to others to make it more “fair.” If Obama is going to force me to do my “patriotic duty,” then what is my impetus for working so hard and successfully? Maybe I'll just kick back and accept the government handouts. But then wouldn't America run the risk of being like Hawaii, who found out after only seven months that their universal health care imploded because those who could afford it dropped their old inusrance to get the freebie? Sure they would. Soon all of us ex-"richies" will kick back for the free ride. Then who will you force to do their patriotic duty, Mr. Obama? Have you read Atlas Shrugged? It used to be science fiction. But now it's reality, thanks to your great vision.

Getting back to Joe the Plumber, the man asked an innocent question about his dreams, and, as payback, Obama and Joe Biden have reviled, and mocked him in their speeches and allowed the media to uncover every teensy bit about him. Is this how we now treat free speech? Is this what the “Fairness Doctrine” is all about? Do Joe and Obama not realize that the Joe the Plumbers are the majority of America and that they have just insulted all hard working Americans who have the audacity to hope? To dream?

Then Joe Biden said this:

“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America... Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy…He’s gonna have to make some really tough - I don’t know what the decision’s gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s gonna happen.”

Given the provocative nature of this statement, I have to ask Joe Biden about the prudence of electing this inexperienced young man. Obviously our enemies see Obama as a weak, untested entity. Joe, you never said anything about how the world would test McCain, so I have to assume our enemies are more certain as to his reactions should anyone threaten our country.

In this critical time of so much uncertainty, is this the time to introduce an inexperienced man who is friends with some very questionable people, and allow him to impose his Marxist ideas of taxing the rich to give to anyone else, along with being the object of a guaranteed provocation of our national security?

So Obama and Joe have convinced me. I’m officially scared shitless. In fact, I don’t remember ever being more scared shitless.

Unbelievable Lynn... just unbelievable!

It's like people following like lemmings off a cliff.

And the voter fraud is disgusting!

Are any republicans committing this fraud?

And why are EARLY votes allowed? That makes no sense to me because things can change last minute.

My state is blue (NJ) but our county is red. i vote just in case.

I have been believing McCain is gonna pull it off... but the fraud thing has me greatly disturbed.

And what is with their picking on what Palin wears? Give me a break. Like the Obamas don't have expensive tastes!

Why don't people understand we need a strong military presence in the world?

Why don't they understand the republicans did not cause this financial disaster?

And how could that CNN reporter be so cruel and lie about that statement to Palin?

Sorry... I am just venting with a kindred spirit. :)

Vent away, Sea. This is a scary time, and we Americans have never had so much to lose. Libs hate Palin because they're scared to death of her. They need to tear her down. In fact, I just read an article in my paper stating how the RNC paid 150,000 expenses for Sarah. All I could think is that Mrs. Obama has probably enjoyed much more than that in her fancy meals alone - Persian caviar, lobster and champagne, indeed. Just who did that benefit?

I'm a Californian - all red, all the time. It's disgusting. The state who brought Reagan to office now churns out the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Willie Brown, and Diane Feinstein like rotten butter. I vote because I need to feel like I'm making a difference, so when we go down the tubes I can't say that I didn't go down without a fight.

pelosi makes me crazy!

I agree about voting.

Can't complain if you don't make an effort to vote. I figure it ain't over til it's over and so I vote. It's a matter of principal.
